What to Bring When You Come to Pate
When you come to Pate there are some things you will need to remember to bring with you to make your stay with us more comfortable. We've put together a simple list of essentials for you to look over and add to.
Clothing Dress comfortably in casual clothes. Low-heeled, non-slip shoes are best. Transitional Clients: Feel free to bring any clothes that make you comfortable including a swimsuit, underclothes, pajamas, a robe and slippers, a sweater, socks, and low-heeled, non-slip shoes.
Toiletries Transitional Clients: Please bring any personal items you might need, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, ext.
Medication Please bring your medicine in daily dosages only. All medication (whether prescription or over-the-counter) must be accompanied by physician's orders, and the original labeled container/packaging.
Lunch Outpatient Day Treatment Clients: You will need to bring lunch and any snacks you may want for the day. Pate has a full kitchen, including a microwave and refrigerator. Vending machines with sodas and snacks are also available. Because lunch breaks are 30 minutes long, Pate recommends cold meals (e.g. sandwiches) or easy-to-prepare foods (e.g. microwave dinners). Transitional Clients: All of your meals are provided. you may be asked to assist in preparing your meal at whatever level is appropriate for your therapy goals.
Miscellaneous Outpatient Day Treatment Clients: You may want to bring loose change for vending machines. Transitional Clients: You may want to bring books, magazines, stationery, personal photos, hobby materials, or other items to use in your free time.
