Holiday Parade at Brinlee Creek Ranch

‘Tis the season and Pate’s Brinlee Creek Ranch in Anna, Texas kicked it off with a very special event…a holiday parade. This is one of our absolute favorite events!

This charming procession wound through the property and featured all sorts of community participants. There were cars, trucks, fire engines, floats, motorcyclists, cowboys on horses, Santas, even therapy mini-horses and livestock.

The holiday parade audience included our own residential staff, nursing, therapists and patients, all joining in a joyful holiday season celebration.

The town of Anna has always been so supportive and sent firetrucks to lead off the holiday parade. A local church sent horseback riders dressed as cowboys and a motorcycle group came in Santa caps to ride along.

Our friends at MiniEncounters joined in with two tiny therapy mini-horses dressed in holiday outfits and greenery who interacted with patients, who petted and nuzzled them. Two Pate cars were decked out as floats with antler ears and wrapped presents, and a third featured a group dressed as wise men (and women), wrangling a cow and donkey who live on the property.  Our community liaisons who meet with patients in hospitals and help with admissions packed into a truck and enthusiastically sang carols. They definitely won “best wavers” for the day.

A fleet of classic cars from the 1930s to muscle cars slowly cruised along to the sound of carols and motorcycle engines.  Festooned with wreaths and ribbons, the cars and trucks were a beautiful sight against the big Texas sky.

The weather was gorgeous for this happy homemade event. The ranch’s Amanda Suggs coordinated the event and it was a raging success!  Thanks to Amanda and all who participated in this effort – it was truly amazing.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from all of us. We wish you a joyful season and happy new year to come.
